Sunday 3rd September – Merchant Navy Day
To commemorate Merchant Navy Day and all that the men and women who travel the ocean as seafarers have done for this country, both currently and in the past, Ryde Town Council will be holding a flag raising ceremony on Friday 1st September at 11am at the Flag Pole on Eastern Gardens and the Red Ensign will fly over the weekend.
The ceremony will be open to any members of the public that wish to attend.
