– News from Wightlink on Parking at Ryde Pier

Wightlink has invested in improving its 200-space customer car park on Ryde Pier.

Responding to criticism from Islanders about unreliable ticket machines, we have installed three new machines. They can all take payment in cash, debit/credit card or via the popular RingGo system that allows people to pay with their mobile phones. RingGo can be used when customers are on the Pier, before they leave home, or during their journey to the mainland on a FastCat.
Parking wardens will be patrolling the area frequently.

To avoid congestion in the car park, Wightlink will introduce a 30 minute waiting restriction on the Pier. We believe this will give everyone enough time to drop off or pick up people as our FastCat service is running on time. Latest stats show 98.2% punctuality and 99.6% reliability on the Portsmouth Harbour-Ryde Pier Head route.
