– Isle of Wight / UK Pride Road Closures

Isle Of Wight Pride takes place this coming Saturday! Please be aware that road closures will be taking place over the course of the day. Island Roads have provided the following information.

The road closures will be on a rolling basis, and the roads will reopen as soon the parade progresses past the junctions along the route. The roads that will be closing are as follows:

Queens Road, between Binstead Road and West Street; (2) West Street, between Queens Road and Lind Street; and (3) Lind Street, between West Street and Cross Street; (4) Union Street, between Lind Street and Esplanade; (5) Esplanade, between Union Street and Dover Street; (6) Esplanade between Dover Street and North Walk (southern junction); (7) North Walk (southern side canoe lake) between Esplanade and Appley Lane; and (B) between 2100 and 2330, when signed in accordance with the TSRGD, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Esplanade from its junction with the North Walk (southern) to its junction with Dover Street . The closures are required for pedestrian safety during IW (UK) Pride event. The diversions will be signposted locally.

There will also be a revocation of the one way restriction along North Walk from Friday 20 July at 1200 until the same time on Sunday 22 July, on the southern side of the canoe lake from its junction with Appley Rise to its junction with Esplanade.
