St James Street, Ryde, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2021 Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours until 1700 hours on Saturday 09 October 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along St James Street between its junctions with Spencer Road and Market Street. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety whilst a crane is in operation for utility works.

West Street, Ryde, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2021 Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours from Monday 11 October 2021 until 1700 hours on Thursday 14 October 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along West Street between its junctions with Arthur Street and Hill Street. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.

Seldon Avenue, Ryde, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 4 2021 Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours from Wednesday 06 October 2021 until 2359 hours on Friday 29 October 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Seldon Avenue between its junctions with Marina Avenue. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.

Great Preston Road, Ryde, (Temporary One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2021 Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours from Tuesday 05 October 2021 until 2359 hours on Tuesday 26 October 2021, or when the works has been completed, a one-way restriction will be introduced in an east to west direction along Great Preston Road between its junctions with Marlborough Road and Harding Road. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The restriction is required for safety during utility works.

Carters Road, Ryde, (Temporary One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2021 Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours from Monday 04 October 2021 until 1800 hours on Friday 01 April 2022, or when the works has been completed, a one-way restriction will be introduced in a west to east direction, along Carters Road from its junction with Upton Road to its junction with Ashey Road. These will be phased works and the alternative routes, where applicable, will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during the Smallbrook Junction Improvement Scheme. 

Smallbrook Lane, Ryde, (Temporary One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2021 Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours from Monday 04 October 2021 until 1800 hours on Friday 01 April 2022, or when the works has been completed, a one-way restriction will be introduced in a west to east direction, along Smallbrook Lane from its junction with Ashey Road to its junction with Great Preston Road. These will be phased works and the alternative routes, where applicable, will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during the Smallbrook Junction Improvement Scheme. 

Ashey Road, Ryde, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 7 2021 Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours from Monday 04 October 2021 until 1800 hours on Friday 01 April 2022, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Ashey Road between its junctions with Green Lane and Smallbrook Lane. These will be phased works and the alternative routes, where applicable, will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during the Smallbrook Junction Improvement Scheme.

Ashey Road, Ryde, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 8 2021 Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours from Monday 04 October 2021 until 1800 hours on Friday 01 April 2022, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Ashey Road between its junctions with Smallbrook Lane and Bettesworth Road. These will be phased works and the alternative routes, where applicable, will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during the Smallbrook Junction Improvement Scheme.

Carters Road, Ryde, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 6 202 Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours from Monday 04 October 2021 until 1800 hours on Friday 01 April 2022, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Carters Road between its junctions with Upton Road and Smallbrook Lane. These will be phased works and the alternative routes, where applicable, will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during the Smallbrook Junction Improvement Scheme.

Smallbrook Lane, Ryde, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2021 Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0001 hours from Monday 04 October 2021 until 1800 hours on Friday 01 April 2022, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Smallbrook Lane between its junctions with Ashey Road and Great Preston Road. These will be phased works and the alternative routes, where applicable, will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during the Smallbrook Junction Improvement Scheme.

Carters Road, Ryde, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 7 2021 Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours from Monday 11 October 2021 until 1700 hours on Thursday 14 October 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Carters Road between its junctions with Gatehouse Road and approx. 200 metres east thereof. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.    

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0600 hours and 1800 hours on approximately five to ten days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 01 October 2021 and Friday 12 November 2021. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe:

  • Upper Highland Road, Ryde, (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Upper Highland Road for its entire length. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway maintenance works.
  • Lower Highland Road, Ryde, (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Lower Highland Road for its entire length. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway maintenance works.
  • Somerset Road, Ryde,(Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Somerset Road for its entire length. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway maintenance works.
  • Vernon Square, Ryde, (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Vernon Square for its entire length. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway maintenance works.
  • Woodhill Close, Ryde, (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Woodhill Close for its entire length. The restriction is required for safety during footway resurfacing works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 01 October 2021 and Friday 12 November 2021 the following roads will be closed for both day and night for a period of approximately 6 weeks, or when the works have been completed, to enable the next planned programme of road reconstruction to be completed.  No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works.  In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences:

  • Great Preston Road, Ryde, (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Great Preston Road between its junctions with Carlton Road and Alexandra Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway reconstruction works.
  • Alexandra Road, Ryde, (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Alexandra Road between its junctions with Great Preston Road and St Johns Hill. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway reconstruction works.

  • The Isle of Wight Council (Broadway Crescent, Binstead, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2020 – Broadway Crescent for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during footway resurfacing works.
