Update: Carriageway Works in Pitts Lane, Binstead
Dear Resident,
Please accept our apology for the delay in providing you with an update regarding the current resurfacing works in Pitts Lane, Binstead.
Due to safety reasons, we will now be completing the area for resurfacing in one phase, instead of two as previously communicated. Therefore, Pitts Lane will be closed from Tuesday 4th June (today) – Friday 7th June from 06:30 – 18:00 for its entire length. During this time there will be no access for vehicles throughout the area.
Additionally, the road closure will continue to be in place on the evening of Friday 7th June until 23:00. On this evening, vehicle access for residents only will be maintained from Church Road to Pitts Haven. From Pitts Haven to Binstead Hill there will continue to be no access for vehicles.
We aim to reopen the road at 23:00 on Friday 7th June, however, the weather does not look favourable for Friday 7th June. If we are required to delay the works on Friday then the road will be reopened for the weekend and we will return for the evening on Monday 10th June to complete the scheme.
Please be aware that our programme can be affected by various external influences. We do endeavour to keep to the allocated timeframe and while this letter is as accurate as possible at the time of writing, please take note of the advanced signage for any changes to dates.
